Mega Menus and SharePoint using Mindjet MindManager

Menus came up as a topic of discussion at work today and I mentioned Mega Menus as a potential solution.

Last week I was able to make it to the Newcastle SharePoint User Group meeting for the first time and was able to meet and listen to a presentation given by Jeremy Hancock.

Jeremy has previously blogged on creating a Mega Menu using Mindjet MindManager and demonstrated this as part of his Information Architecture and Governance presentation at the user group meeting.

I managed to create the macro within MindManager to be able to demonstrate at work tomorrow.

The Mind Map looks like this:

And running the macro, it produces an HTML page that looks like this:

Hopefully my colleague can then use it to further progress developing requirements for the site he’s working on.

Getting this implemented and working in SharePoint is another thing and something I’ll have to look into further.
